DeltaV SIS TÜV Certificate Updated and Improved

December 11, 2010

The DeltaV SIS TÜV certificate has been updated to include product certification to the following standards, which incorporate flame management:

  • NFPA 85: 2007 – Boiler and Combustion Systems Hazards Code
  • EN 298: 2003 – Automatic gas burner control systems for gas burners and gas burning appliances with or without fans
  • EN 50156-1: 2004 – Electrical equipment for furnaces and ancillary equipment. Requirements for application design and installation

The DeltaV SIS Burner Management System (BMS) is a safety solution for control and monitoring of burner units. Through sequencing and interlocks the DeltaV SIS BMS allows the burner unit(s) to go safely through all the relevant states, from start-up to operation, and shutdown when needed. If required (usually dependant on the size of the burner unit), DeltaV SIS can also provide an automated leak testing of the gas valves. Using specially developed function blocks, the DeltaV SIS BMS solution is highly flexible and easy to maintain and monitor.

DeltaV SIS has the flexibility to meet BMS needs (large or small), gives operators increased visibility for BMS operations, and reduces engineering and complexity for BMS applications.
