Rosemount 3051S ERS System - New Answer to an Old Problem

March 22, 2011

HART ERS is a Digital Upgrade to Proven Technology

The Rosemount 3051S ERS System is a new digital DP Level architecture that replaces impulse piping and capillary with two 3051S pressure sensors linked together electronically. Differential Pressure is calculated in one of the two sensors and outputted using a standard two-wire 4-20 mA HART signal. Using ERS improves time response by over 90% and eliminates temperature effects

Improve Performance

Measurement drift, caused by changes in ambient temperature, is magnified by long lengths of impulse piping or capillary. The 3051S ERS System replaces mechanical components with a digital architecture, resulting in a stable and repeatable measurement.

Simplify Maintenance and Reduce Costs

Cold-weather installations often require heat tracing. Impulse lines need to be checked for leaks, condensation, evaporation, and plugging. The 3051S ERS System eliminates these practices, leaving you with more time to run your plant rather than fixing it.

Gain Greater Process Insight

Differential Pressure is a critical measurement for operating a vessel or tower, but it doesn’t tell you everything. The 3051S ERS System is a MultiVariable™ solution that gives you the information you need to properly monitor and control your processes.

Using the latest technology does not have to be complicated or require hours of training. The 3051S ERS System is simply a digital upgrade to a proven and well understood technology: DP Level.
