DVC6000 Series Digital Valve Controller FIELDVUE_exploded

FIELDVUE DVC6000 series digital valve controllers are HART and FIELDBUS communicating, microprocessor-based current-to-pneumatic instruments.

One platform for any pneumatic actuator application. The DVC6000 series can be installed on sliding stem, rotary, double- or single-acting actuators. The DVC6000 has over 2000 different mounting kits for over 180 different manufacturers’ actuators. It is available in SIS construction for on-off valves. It will have non-contacting feedback in early 2010. It is ideal for high-vibration and other difficult applications.

Three important functions are performed by the DVC6000 series instrument:

  • Traditional positioning of a control valve by converting the 4-20mA or FIELDBUS input signal from the process controller to a pneumatic output signal to the actuator.
  • Automatic calibration and configuration utilizing the power of microprocessor technology.
  • Communication capability via the HART or FIELDBUS communications protocol to provide instrument and valve diagnostic information.

The DVC meets CSA "single seal" requirements per ANSI/ISA 12.27.01. The DVC is certified by CSA as a natural gas certified device.
